The Hawaii Tribune-Herald again has cut its wage offer to members of the Hawaii Newspaper Guild. The company’s latest wage offer came during a day-and-a-half of negotiations between the Guild and the Company on July 2 and July 3.

Profits drop; McClatchy plans to examine dividend

The McClatchy Co. reported another big drop in profits today, the result of the continued decline in advertising revenue. The company said it expects the slump to continue and announced that it will re-examine its shareholder dividend policies as it looks for ways to save money.
